It’s been a while since I wrote anything on this blog. Like… two years to be exact. I swore off “blogging” when I traded print journalism for television about two lifetimes ago and only blogged since cause I had to when I was on air with iHeartRadio for 6 years; 2 blogs a day was the requirement. I hated it. Most on air talent did (and still does) cause we moved to radio to speak, not write or be held responsible for driving traffic to outdated websites that listeners only click on to win prizes. But I digress.

This is not a blog post for venting about the past but for sitting with the present and wondering, together with you, where is my personal future.

Business stuff you’ll still be able to find on my Seizing Happy website and blog. This space is all about and for me. For my uncensored thoughts and experiences on a personal level. The stuff I usually only talk about with my inner circle, my 3 closest friends.

Why am I sharing these thoughts on here, so publicly? A few reasons:

Bringing vulnerability into this blog for good.

1. As a “public image” presenting large organizations like Radio Disney, the Miami Marlins and others I have worked with in the past, it’s an unwritten rule that, while you can and should express your personality to the fullest, your personal opinions shouldn’t always be out there unless they align with the company you present. This is true of almost any industry.

2. I have noticed in my conversations with my 3 close closest friends, the ones that get the WHOLE story including tears and debilitating fears that so many of us powerful women are going through the same struggles on these deep levels. I want to share the experiences with you and see if you’re feeling the same. Also… I have some big news to share soon that will be completely personal, zero business, and I want both: to take you on my journey AND to hear your stories and experiences about it.

When I traded print journalism for television I loved the shift cause TV moves so much faster. I had to get my background story and the point out in 2-3minutes and it was a fantastic rush to do so. With radio it was very similar. You have short talk breaks over the intros of a song or 45 seconds over a music bed before going to commercials to get your story, your thought AND your personality on air.

But lately I feel that my thoughts are coming slower and bigger. Too big and too deep to express in a three minute video on my social media. So I have found myself gravitating to writing things out again. To blogging.

Talk about a full circle.

So what can you expect from this blog moving forward?

All my tea.

What I’m thinking and feeling about my life and shifts, as uncensored as my heart can take it.

I’ll share with you what’s been going on with the investment property, the good and the bad.

I’ll share with you the behinds the scenes of Seizing Happy launches on the personal level.

And once I’m ready (in a few weeks) I will share with you a new journey I’ve started that I never thought I would be on.

But there’s one caveat.

I don’t want this to be a one sided conversation. I don’t want to come on here and spill my soul to crickets. If you’re stopping by and reading along, share your opinions. I don’t care if we disagree, I truly want to hear your thoughts. Ask your questions, challenge me, whatever you want as long as it’s respectful. Just join the conversation.

That’s it for this update. I can’t wait to share more. I don’t know how often I’ll be posting cause, this will be personal not structured. But I have so much on my mind and in my heart that I suspect it will be often.

What have you been up to?
